Attorney
Jiří Pokorný devoted himself to environmental law and judgement enforcement already during his studies, when he dedicated both his diploma thesis and dissertation to the fields of environmental law, specifically in the sense of its interconnection with energy law. He gained experience in the field as a lawyer at the State Office for Nuclear Safety, where – during his doctoral studies – he participated in preparation of the new Atomic Act. Afterwards, he worked for several years for one of the leading Prague enforcement offices as an articled clerk. Until the beginning of 2021, he also worked as an assistant professor and secretary at the Department of Environmental Law at the Faculty of Law of the Charles University in Prague. He decided to put his gained practice to good use as an attorney, and therefore, in 2019 he passed the bar and became an attorney.
In his practice he makes use of his long experience gained in state administration, in the field of environmental law and judgement enforcement. Thanks to his intimate knowledge of enforcement proceedings and at the same time his experience from academia, he is able to provide legal services in the given fields at top level.
